Overview

The source library is the evidentiary base of the wiki: one page per study, government report, or dataset, recording what it measured, in which food or matrix, the method it used, and the quantitative results, together with the wiki pages that cite it. Every inline citation across the metal, ingredient, and product pages resolves to a source page here, so any claim can be traced to the underlying literature and audited. The library holds close to two thousand sources, spanning peer-reviewed studies, government and regulatory reports, and dataset releases.

By region

Heavy-metal occurrence is strongly regional — soil geochemistry, industrial history, irrigation practice, and regulatory regime all vary by place — so the sources are grouped by the jurisdiction their evidence comes from: where the samples were collected, or where the regulation applies. Multi-country and international sources (WHO, Codex, cross-jurisdiction reviews) are gathered under their own group.
