Directive 2009/48/EC, consolidated text 29 August 2026

This is the Publications Office consolidated text of Directive 2009/48/EC, document 02009L0048, English, dated 29 August 2026.

This is the Publications Office consolidated text of Directive 2009/48/EC, document 02009L0048, English, dated 29 August 2026. The cover states that the text is meant purely as a documentation tool and has no legal effect. The antimony migration line is marked as original text.

Key numbers

Annex II, Part III, point 13 still prints three migration columns: dry, brittle, powder-like or pliable toy material; liquid or sticky toy material; scraped-off toy material. The antimony line is flagged B, meaning original text, and prints 11,3 and 560 in the second and third columns (PDF p.41). A text extraction of this consolidated PDF inserts a space inside the first figure, so the glyph string looks like 4 5. The original Official Journal and Regulation (EU) 2025/2509 both print 45 with no space. This page reads the first figure as 45, the original and still-unamended value, and records the extraction space so it is not mistaken for 4.5 or for two separate limits. Aluminium on the same consolidated table is the amended line, 2 250, 560, and 28 130, flagged M13. Antimony is not that amendment.

Methods (brief)

The file is the consolidated PDF. It incorporates later amendments to other elements. The antimony flag is B, not an M-series amendment.

Evidence fitness

The page supports the statement that the antimony migration limits were not amended through the 29 August 2026 consolidation, and that the second and third figures remain 11,3 and 560 mg/kg. It does not support a limit of 4.5 mg/kg. It does not support treating the consolidation as the authentic legal text.

Limitations

Authentic text is the Official Journal. This directive is repealed with effect from 1 August 2030 by Regulation (EU) 2025/2509.
