Malaysia NPRA Annex I, Part 14 gives heavy-metal and microbiological test limits for cosmetic products under the Guidelines for Control of Cosmetic Products in Malaysia, Second Edition. The heavy-metal table states limits for mercury, lead, arsenic, and cadmium in ppm. The note says NPRA uses these test limits for cosmetic samples obtained through post-market surveillance activities.
The arsenic row does not specify inorganic arsenic, so it is recorded as total arsenic (tAs). The mercury row does not specify methylmercury, so it is recorded as total mercury (tHg). Microbiological limits in the same annex are outside the heavy-metal register.
