This is the Publications Office consolidated text of Commission Decision 2014/350/EU, document 02014D0350, English, dated 6 January 2026. The cover states that the text is meant purely as a documentation tool and has no legal effect. The antimony criteria match the original decision.
Key numbers
Criterion 7(a) still states that the level of antimony present in the polyester fibres shall not exceed 260 ppm, with a derogation for fibres manufactured from recycled PET bottles (PDF p.15). Appendix 1, extractable metals, still prints Antimony (Sb) 30,0 for products intended for babies and children under 3 years old (PDF p.42) and Antimony (Sb) 30,0 for all other products including interior textiles (PDF p.43). The comma is the printed decimal mark. Extraction remains the acid sweat method EN ISO 105-E04-2013. Article 6, as amended, states that the criteria and the related assessment and verification requirements shall be valid until 31 December 2028 (PDF p.3). The eight-hour occupational exposure limit printed for antimony trioxide back-coating is 0,50 mg/m3.
Methods (brief)
The file incorporates Decisions (EU) 2017/1392, 2020/1805, and 2026/66. The antimony product figures were not the subject of a changed number in the pages opened here. The workplace air value remains a derogation condition, not a fabric concentration.
Evidence fitness
The page supports the current validity date of the Ecolabel textile criteria and the restated antimony figures of 260 ppm and 30,0 mg/kg. It does not support treating the consolidation as the authentic legal text. It does not support a U.S. federal textile limit.
Limitations
Authentic text is the Official Journal of the original decision and of each amendment. This file is the documentation tool.
