NOM-252-SSA1-2011 sets Mexican environmental-health requirements for toys and school articles. Section 5.2 and Table 1 set maximum bioavailability limits for soluble heavy metals from toy and school-article materials, with one row for general materials and a second row for preschool school articles, modeling clay, and finger paint. The method simulates four hours in the alimentary tract after ingestion and reports results as mg of element per kg of material. The structured rows transcribe the HMI-controlled metals and omit barium and selenium.

The five most recent substantive edits to this page, classified major (evidence or structure moved), correction (a published value or statement was wrong and has been fixed), or minor (narrative rewritten without changing the underlying evidence). Each description is derived from what the edit did to this page; the linked commit is the authoritative record, routine regeneration passes are excluded, and the full version history lives in git.
