Methods

Microbiome analysis: 16S rRNA metagenomic sequencing using next-generation sequencing with primers EMP16S-1 through EMP16S-15. Sample pool: 26 raw goat milk samples from Slovak farms.

Mineral analysis: Flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) for determination of Zn, Fe, Cu, and Mn.

Vitamin analysis: High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for tocopherol quantification.

Implications

Establishes microbiome composition and baseline trace mineral profile in raw goat milk from Eastern European dairy production. Demonstrates covariation between bacterial community structure and mineral bioavailability in milk matrices. Methods validated for integrated microbiome-elemental analysis in dairy systems.
