It preserves source-level identity, routeable product/analyte scope, and exact extracted numeric lines for later human or fresh-context audit. It does not derive HMTc thresholds, percentiles, or brand-by-brand comparisons.

Key numbers

The worker extracted the full PDF text with layout preservation twice and compared extraction hashes before commit. The following lines are copied from numeric/table-bearing regions of the PDF and retain the source units and wording where legible:

  • Latino residents (3%) was lower in this cohort, compared to the population demographics in Lane and Douglas
  • Twenty (5.1%) participants indicated a language other than English was spoken in the home. This proportion
  • 8.5% and 3.9%, respectively17. Just one Spanish-language survey was returned, although five respondents

  • ethnicity, 5 categories were consolidated into 1 category: Hispanic/Latino (n = 5, 1%), Native Hawaiian or
  • Pacific Islander (n = 1, < 1%), Asian (n = 3, < 1%) Native American (n = 4, 1%), and Other (n = 4, 1%). There
  • indicated Spanish was spoken at home. Other languages spoken by study participants included German (n = 3),
  • French (n = 3), Chinese (n = 2), Tagalog (n = 2), Ukrainian (n = 1), and Visayan (n = 1) (missing, n = 3).
  • Just 5% of participants did not ingest fish (Table 1). The median number of fish meals ingested monthly, including
  • fish that were caught and fish that were purchased from a store or vendor, was 3.5 meals (range: 0–30 meals/
  • month) (Supplementary File 1 Table S2). Higher fish consumption was associated with more education (Kruskal-
  • (Wilcoxon rank sum test, p = 0.02). Those who spoke English at home ingested more fish (median = 6 meals/
  • monthly), compared to non-English speakers (median = 3 meals/monthly) (Wilcoxon rank sum test, p = 0.014).
  • Two-thirds (66%) of female recreational fishers were aware of fish consumption warnings (Table 1). Using
  • were all associated with increased odds of awareness of fish consumption warnings (Table 2). Specifically, among
  • years, odds ratio (OR): 3.37, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.01, 11.3; 46–60 years, OR: 3.85, 95% CI: 1.24,
  • 12.0; ≥61 years, OR: 3.83, 95% CI: 1.28, 11.5). Attending some college or university and acquiring at least one
  • those participants who attended no more than high school (some college or university, OR: 2.82, 95% CI: 1.23,
  • 4.24; Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degree, OR 3.23, 95% CI: 1.57, 6.66). Moderately higher household income
