Overview
The Turkish Food Codex Contaminants Regulation published in Resmi Gazete No. 32360 on 5 November 2023 sets maximum levels for contaminants in foods. Article 13 states that the regulation was prepared in alignment with Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/915, and Article 14 repeals the earlier 29 December 2011 Turkish Food Codex Contaminants Regulation.
Exact Limit And Units
| Matrix | Analyte | Maximum level | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raw milk, heat-treated milk, and milk used to manufacture milk-based products | Lead (Pb) | 0.020 mg/kg | Wet weight / product as placed on market |
The same 0.020 mg/kg row also appeared in the 2011 Turkish Food Codex Contaminants Regulation cited by Yildiz Kucuk and Gokcek 2024. HMI uses this page as the current Turkish regulatory anchor for source pages that compare raw cow milk lead values against the Turkish Food Codex.
How This Page Interacts With HMT&C
This page records an external public-law comparator. It does not set an HMT&C certification threshold. Source pages may cite it when preserving the regulatory comparator used by Turkish raw-milk literature or when comparing measured Pb in raw milk to a Turkish legal maximum level on the same analyte and wet-weight basis.
