In-vitro analysis, metabolic profiling and in-silico molecular docking analysis shows antidiabetic potential of phytofabricated cerium oxide nanoparticles against diabetes related receptors

Cerium oxide nanoparticles made with peppermint leaf extract were characterized and tested in antioxidant and antidiabetic enzyme assays, with plant compounds screened by docking software. The particles measured 46 to 60 nm.

Key numbers

  • Particle size 46 to 60 nm, spherical (abstract).

Methods (brief)

Green synthesis, UV-vis, SEM, EDX, FTIR and XRD characterization, in vitro assays, LC-MS profiling of the extract and molecular docking.

Evidence fitness

Off-topic for dietary exposure: does not support dietary exposure or toxicity claims.

Limitations

Laboratory material or biomedical study; no environmental, food or human exposure measurements.
