Scope
The official GSO catalog describes GSO 2783:2025 as a technical regulation for maximum residue limits for heavy metals in food. Its public metadata names arsenic, inorganic arsenic, mercury, cadmium, lead, and tin.
Legal status
The GSO catalog record is active and was published on 29 October 2025. That verifies the regional standard’s existence and publication, but it does not by itself prove a single binding date across every GCC member state. National adoption, transition, and enforcement must be checked in the implementing jurisdiction before the standard is used as a market-access deadline.
Numerical limits
No numerical rows are loaded from this page. The public catalog does not expose the licensed tables needed to verify commodity scope, analyte species, units, basis, and footnotes. Existing GSO 193:2021 rows remain separately identifiable and are not silently overwritten.
