Ayurvedic supplement contamination — extreme outliers. ciocan2021-ayurvedic-lead-hg-poisoning documents two Romanian poisoning cases from Ayurvedic supplements: Pb 23,043 mg/kg and Hg 145,711 mg/kg — concentrations five orders of magnitude above food thresholds. Advances the supplements Pb seeding thread; these are not food matrices but illustrate the upper tail of herbal supplement contamination.
Mushroom mercury — second paper. orywal2021-heavy-metals-dried-mushrooms reports mean tHg of 3.039 mg/kg DW in Boletus edulis from Polish markets, with a maximum of 4.884 mg/kg DW.
