Scope
IS 6608:2004 applies to skin creams in the form of a thick emulsion or unctuous mass. It addresses ingredients, product requirements, packing, marking, and optional ECO Mark-related requirements.

How tested
The table refers heavy-metals testing to Annex E and arsenic testing to Annex F. The standard states that a manufacturer may omit finished cosmetic testing for heavy metals and arsenic if all raw materials requiring those tests have been tested and comply.
